In the early 2000's the company was bought by Bayer who started to produce the Zam Buk brand around the globe. Today, one of the main production factories is located in Thailand making it one of the most popular balm brands in the Asian-Pacific Region. The balm is most popular by parents of small kids using the balm against mosquito / insect bites. However, many adults came to the conclusion that they also can use the balm for the same purpose.
